Baraboo, WI - August 21, 2018 - Twelve bovine beauties graced the shavings at the Wisconsin State Fair Park on Saturday, August 11 to compete for first place in the 32nd Annual Wisconsin Holstein Futurity. Judging this prestigious event was Ryan Weigel of Platteville, Wis. In this nontraditional show, the animals are entered three years prior to the show and only the best of the entries compete for the coveted title.

This year the title was captured by Dorsland Twinkle P-Red-ET, owned by Emma, Sara, Wyatt and Claire Dorshorst and shown by Emma Dorshorst of Marshfield, Wis. The Dorshorst family received $1,500 from our generous sponsor, Compeer Financial. Twinkle was also first place bred & owned and first place junior.

Following in second was Heatherstone Brighton owned by Heatherston Enterprises Inc. and shown by Chelsea Holschbach of Baraboo, Wis. The Holschbach's won a $750 prize from International Protein Sires. Brighton was also named Best Udder of the show which was sponsored by NorthStar Cooperative and East Central Select Sires.

Third place was sponsored by Agropur and the $500 prize went to Milgene Just A Game-ET, owned by the Hildebrandt family of Hustisford, Wis.

Even though the bovine beauties are truly looking their best, the exhibitors are dressed to impress. These exhibitors gave up their white pants and boots for a night of ball gowns and tuxedos to compete for best dressed awards. Brett Hildebrandt of Hustisford, Wis. received the Best Dressed Male award and $75 from Indianhead Holsteins. The Best Dressed Female went to Ariona Hildebrandt of Hustisford, Wis. along with $75 sponsored by Scenic-Edge Holsteins. The Best Dressed Junior went to Jessica Telfer of Fort Atkinson, Wis. along with $75 sponsored by the Barron County Junior Holsteins.

The night was led by the Mistress and Master of Ceremonies, Kristin Olson and Tim Natzke, who introduced distinguished guests and the Futurity entries. The distinguished guests included Wisconsin Holstein Princess Allie Breunig; Wisconsin Holstein Princess Attendant Brooke Trustem; Alice in Dairyland Kaitlyn Riley; Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs Isabella Haen; National Red and White Queen Hannah Nelson; and Dane County Holstein Royalty Ashlyn Sarbacker and Ava Endres along with Tim Baumgartner from Compeer Financial and David Hitner and Olivia Vande Hey from Agropur.

The 32nd Wisconsin Holstein Association Futurity would not be possible without our generous sponsors. The Wisconsin Holstein Association (WHA) would like to thank the major Futurity

sponsors, Compeer Financial, International Protein Sires, Agropur, and Brian Greenman, Rural Mutual Insurance Agent, for helping to make this show a success. In addition, WHA would also like to thank the committee members for all that they do to make the show run smoothly. The association could not have such a successful event without their generous help.

The Wisconsin Holstein Association hopes you will join us next year as we celebrate the Wisconsin All-Breeds Futurity in August 2019!
